What must I do to get a library card?

Residents of Chouteau County may apply for a library card free. Ask the librarian for a application card, fill it out and return it to the circulation desk.  Temporary library cards for non-residents may be obtained for a refundable fee of $15.00.

What if the material I want is not available locally?

Ask the librarian at the circulation desk for assistance.  If the library does not have the material, you may request the item be InterLibrary Loaned from another library if available.  This means the material obtained will follow the timeline (DUE DATE) the Lending Library sets and returned in timely fashion and in the condition in which it was received.  There is a $3.00 fee for this service.

What if you are offended by some of the materials in the library?

You may voice your opinion.  The public library provides materials to people with a wide range of opinions.  We recommend that you choose carefully for yourself, your students, and your family.
